The “Introduction to Non-Linear Analysis Workshop”, as part of the SIMIF morning session, is a free event for anyone who has some experience of simulation and FEA, but would like to look at extending the scope of the work they do. This workshop is an ideal way to understand what advanced simulation can offer and find out how easy it actually is to perform a real world non-linear analysis.
Starting with a lecture session covering the essential concepts of advanced simulation, the course also gives the attendees the opportunity to try advanced solutions such as permanent deformations, impacts and other highly complex events.
For everybody who reached the limit of what they can do with their existing simulation software, or just simply want to enhance their understanding of FEA simulation. This event is meant for commercial companies in Belgium, Netherlands or Luxemburg.
The workshop first gives an introduction to Non-Linear analysis, concepts and typical solutions, Optimization, Multiphysics and Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics. And subsequently processes and approaches are introduced by hands on tutorial examples using the SIMULIA Abaqus software.
1. Introduction to non-Linear analysis
Finite element concepts, Non-linear concepts, Material non-linearity, Contact, Large displacements, Dynamics, Implicit vs explicit
2. The non-linear analysis solution process
